Frequently
Asked
Questions
HOW CAN I BECOME A PATIENT?
Send an email, call, or text!
We would love to do a brief consult over the phone to introduce the clinic and treatment philosophy, and more importantly, to hear your story and investigate how we could help. At that time we can schedule the initial session to do a much more in depth evaluation.
The goal of the initial evaluation is to assess your situation, goals, and history. It is also, and just as importantly, time for you to evaluate us. We hope to find we are a good fit and can help you reach your potential.
DO YOU ACCEPT HEALTH INSURANCE?
Pierson Physical Therapy is out of network with all third party payers. However, we will provide you with the information required to submit your claim for out of network reimbursement. Click here for more information.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Cash, credit/debit card, check. Many patients opt to use a health savings account for payment of services.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL/PRESCRIPTION FOR TREATMENT?
In Texas, licensed physical therapists can complete the initial session without a referral. However, for successive sessions and treatment a referral is required. Physicians, physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners, chiropractors, and dentists can provide the referral. Please inquire on options for education and training, as this does not, at times, require a referral.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Comfortable clothing that would allow for freedom of motion for assessment and treatment of the involved and surrounding areas. Often times “workout clothes” are the best option.
